The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and comprehensive cancer services.

Here are the details:
Functions as a therapist/chemical dependency counselor/nurse, facilitates department operations, delegates patient care responsibilities, completes staff evaluations, and serves as a role model by working collaboratively with other hospital departments.
Responsibilities:
Ensures appropriate, complete, and timely assessments of patients and families by staff.
Communicates employee work performance to director/manager.
Keeps director/manager informed of current patient situations and staffing needs.
Assists director/manager in completion of staff performance notes.
Identifies to management any ideas for modifications to standards, procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Acts as a role model with department customers.
Assists with the successful completion of Behavioral Health Department licensure, certification, OMHAS, HFAP and Medicare surveys.
Assists director/manager in planning that facilitates department operations, staffing, education plans, and program development.
As requested by director/manager participates in evaluating the quality and appropriateness of services provided by the department.
As appropriate, fulfills the performance expectations of therapist/RN and/or chemical dependency counselor i.
e.
, assessments, group and individual therapy with patients and family.
Documents billable services and progress in Electronic Medical Record.
Assists with orientation of new staff and/or students.
Completes billing charges daily.
Monitors and adjusts productivity output of the department.
Completes Quality Assurance reports.
Maintains policies that reflect governing standards.
Performs other functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or RN in a mental health (LSW/LPC) or chemical dependency (LICDC) related field with the appropriate licensure, registration, or certification.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of DSM V diagnosis and able to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, and safety related criteria appropriate for age of patient served.
Demonstrated situation leadership skills and ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Possesses situational leadership skills to deal effectively with daily department operations.
Demonstrates competence in age specific patient care Other info:
This position is with outpatient group therapy so it is a M-F position.
EPIC EMR is used.
The pay depends on experience but the range is $51,000 - $70,000.
